Firebolts & Fire Doors: Evidence of Suitability, Compliance and Assessment Pathways

With the adoption of AS 1530.4:2014 via NCC 2022, fire door suppliers have updated testing and documentation to meet stricter integrity requirements. To improve fire-resistance performance, some manufacturers now incorporate firebolts—components that add mechanical stability under fire conditions and help achieve FRL results.

This session examines what firebolts are, where and why they’re used, and the compliance and operational issues they may present. Viewers will learn how to assess fire door compliance, identify the use of firebolts, and evaluate potential in-service risks.

Originally presented live on 18 June 2025, this on-demand webinar is essential for building surveyors, certifiers, and fire safety professionals.
